Ok i'll put my hands up and admit i am an utter newb to the world of mitx and as such have very little idea of what rating power supply i need.

So my question is what PSU would be required to power this mobo: -

and a single 2.5" hdd and slim dvdrw?

If you could actually post some names etc rather than "80w" that would be appreciated, obviously i wouldn't ask you to post links as thats not allowed.

Bear in mind the Ion board does require a 24way header and a 4 way ATX connection so i am not sure if those little psu's that plug directly into the mobo would suffice as they don't have the 4 way atx, i have done some homework myself ;). So i guess i need a "proper" but smaller psu, question is what sort of power rating?

Cheers guys, i haven't really decided on a case yet so having to buy a seperate psu is a distinct possibility.

I did look at those pico psu's but as i said they don't have the 4 pin axt connector so would need some form of adapter.

If you haven't decided on a case then you could just get the Zotac ION which has a built in 90w psu.

Works nicely and cuts down on cable mess a great deal too. It's only limitation is a lack of a PCI expansion slot.

I did look at those but thought the £60 price hike for them was a little too much all things considered. As you say no pci slot does mean they are somewhat restricted too.
