I am in process of buying the components below for my new pc. I am now just trying to decide on the PSU. I usually get Bequiet PSUs but I am bit concerned looking at the review of the current model. At the moment I am looking at the Seasonic VERTEX PX-850 ATX3.0 850W. The bequiet one I was also looking at is the Dark Power 13 850w. Is the Seasonic one a good PSU to go for or are there any other ones to consider. I for sure want one that is semi-fanless as having a quiet pc is important.

CPU: Ryzen 9 9900x
M/B: Asrock X870e Nova
GPU: RTX 2070 Super (carried over from current rig until 5070 launches)

The Seasonic is overpriced for a 850w psu plus it's ATX 3.0 just like the Be Quiet. The latest spec is ATX 3.1.

The just released https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...ar-power-supply-cp-9020285-pow-crs-02466.html would be where my money would go. I have the earlier 2021 version and it has been a solid psu and silent too. The new version has been updated to ATX 3.1 so has the latest high power connector and is getting excellent reviews, one of which you can read here. At £109.99 it's a great price for a high quality 850w psu with a 10 year warranty. It's pre-order at OCUK but is in stock elsewhere for the same price.

Thanks. That looks like a nice psu I have just ordered one. Hopefully the motherboard will come into stock so that I then get on and build my new pc.

the main difference is only the connector that's changed from 12VHPWR to 12V-2x6 - but these are cross-compatible so not much of a difference
barring the connector which is a non-issue in most cases, an ATX 3.0 compliant PSU is actually better than an ATX 3.1 PSU as the 3.0 spec is more stringent than the 3.1 spec (specifically, the reduction in hold-up time in the 3.1 spec)
