PSU for new system??

Well i have been building a new system and i have the following stuff so far

Antec 1200 case
DFI Lan Party DK mobo
Q6600 Go version
Artic cooling cpu cooler
8gb of corsair ddr2 ram
Samung sata dvd-rw
2 250GB HDD's
and a HD4870 1 gb version

Do you think i should go for the Corsair TX 750W ATX2.2 or the Corsair TX 650W ATX2.2

I'd aim for the 750 if the cash is sat there, worth going big in the long run...

So jealous... I want one of those

you can get away with the 650, but the 750 is in this weeks offers for the exact same price..so why not

go for the 750 mate

Amusingly I'd be surprised if it ever used more than 350-375w, however the hardware potential will be there to use the higher watts, ie larger heatsinks etc etc. Better understressed big 'un than overstressed little 'un

exactally....

a power supply runs more efficient 80% usage or less

Hi guys dont buy a corsair psu.i bought 2 and built machines and they both went bang after 10 months, within days of each other

there one of the best brands of power supplies there are at the moment, cant just go off them with one bad experience..

Agreed, I've found them to be very reliable and backed by a 5 year warranty you can't go wrong.

can anyone tell me does the hd4870 require 2 6pin to run it?

good choice mate, yeah 2 x 6pin pci-e power connectors.
