hi all

I'm about to order an overclocked 3570k bundle from here at OC, they recommend a TX or HX Corsair PSU to power the system.

I'm not deliberately trying to go against their advice, but can anybody recommend me any alternatives?

I have about £70 budget. I'm not bothered about modular, but I may one day want to implement crossfire by adding a second 7950 graphics card to my existing one.

I'm currently looking at Corsair CX750, but the TX and HX are starting to get out of my budget range – are they essential?

There is also this…

If it is absolutely essential that I spend a bit more then I will if I have to, I just want to consider all my options.

Sorry for the rather randomly written post, any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you all very much for your help - I'll go for that XFX.

£83 isnt too over budget and if its a decent choice with one eye on crossfire in the future then I'm happy.

Thanks again.
Rick.

Sorry, one last question if you don't mind on that XFX,

The review on here suggests that I may need a 4 pin ATX to 8 pin ATX power connector to hook up my motherboard...

I'm using a Gigabyte Z77 D3H motherboard...

Would I need that adapter that Chris is talking about? I scanned through the spec on the mobo and I'm guessing not, but don't want to have to come back and pay for extra shipping if I am wrong, for the sake of a couple of quid.

Thanks again guys
Rick.
