Hey all.
I may be able to get a 3080 Strix card soon, but I'm not sure my Corsair HX750 (80 Plus Gold) purchased in June 2013 is quite up to the task of running one.
The HX750 hasn't shown any signs of trouble running my current PC, but it's getting on in years and the 3080 is obviously more power hungry than my 1070. I'm also planning a more complete system upgrade in the coming months, so it would be good to get the foundation sorted with a solid PSU.
Would an RM850 (non-X) from Corsair be a good option? Is the X version actually worth the extra £30-40? How about any other 850W PSUs?
Cheers!
