So, I'm having a little trouble picking the right PSU for my new rig. The specs are as follows:
CPU - Core i7 970
Mobo- Asus Rampage III Extreme
GPU - 2x Nvidia GTX590
RAM - Corsair Dominator GT 2000Mhz (6x 2GB)
HDD - 1x OCZ Vertex 3 + 2x WD Velociraptor
Sound Card - Creative X-Fi Titanium
I was originally thinking of going with a Corsair AX1200, since it's SLI Certified for these cards, but after taking a good look at their massive power draw, I'm not so sure. I still need some room for CPU overclocking (CPU @ 3.7-4GHz), and maybe for some slight GPU overclocking. Also, the CPU will be watercooled, however I am unsure of how much power the pump will draw, since I've never done watercooling before.
What do you think? Will the 1200W Corsair suffice, or will have to go for something with a little more juice?
Cheers
