Well with that in mind why do we Combine a PSU section with RAM?

Not a bad idea since those are the 2 forums that don't get used that much
but if they are going to do that, then they may as well just make a seperate
PSU forum to save confusion with things.

Problem is thread maintenance. PSUs, like any component, are constanlty being updated.

Psu questions are usually related to selecting one that will support other hardware. General hardware knowledge adds to the discussion and a psu forum may be too focused on knowledge of PSUs themselves.

Well i think as since the RAM thread is not getting used they should combine RAM and PSU and call it Other Componants (RAM,PSU) for instance then there would be more activity there?

I'm not sure that would work. The PSU powers all your components directly or indirectly.

Just trying to suggest something. I just think there should be part of the forum dedicated to the PSU even if it is a Sticky.

Ram and mobo should go together not ram and psu.

Ram and mobo could be merged, or maybe cpu and mobo (and split into amd/intel subforums).

It can only do more good than harm. My friend's PSU blown the other day and the system was completely dead, had to spend hours fault finding and replacing stuff all because he skimped on the PSU. He even got his system spec'd on this forum, no idea how that happened. Maybe a PSU section would help avoid situations like that.
