Some of you may have noticed my thread a few weeks ago regarding my monitor suddenly turning off.
We in the last month my computer has been crashing and restarting pretty much every day. I often leave Netflix running overnight and do it a lot of the time and that's all. It never caused any problems with other, less powerful computers and I personally don't believe it is related to the fact I am running Netflix.com overnight.
But I am waking up every morning to the Windows login screen and when it reloads the user as a first time login, Chrome and other applications point out the computer crashed and didn't close properly.
I checked the Event Viewer/Log and found this, and it's concerning me given I spent a huge amount on this build from Overclockers a few months ago and I am just having more and more problems.
I refuse to believe it has anything to do with temps. My temp logs show the computer is at perfect temps, even overnight and the room it is in is constantly cool as the room has a/c in. The airflow is good and the two temp monitoring programs I use show it never gets high. I rarely Overclock and this issue was around before I even tried Overclocking. I have done a RAM health test and all is fine with the RAM.
I wonder if its a PSU problem? The monitor problem which caused it to randomly show no signal or connection for no reason and required resetting the PC for the monitor to work again, also forced the computer to restart after a few minutes post monitor DC if you didn't reset it yourself.
-- My PSU is: Seasonic Focus Plus 550W 80 Plus Gold Modular Supply
The Event Viewer details are below:
Does anybody think they may know what's going wrong? If it is a PSU problem, do Overclockers/Seasonic replace it given it's only 4-5 months since I made the order over £1200 for a gaming rig.
Appreciate any advice. I hate having such a nice, new and powerful gaming rig but have so many problems.
