PSU Futerproof?

Hello all, I bought a Supernova G2 850w with my new build, it has a 10 year guarantee.

Now im wondering, is it likely that a mid/high end build in say 5 years time might require more or less power?

I just wanted to know if PSU's are some what future-proof especially when they have such a good guarantee

That PSU will keep you going for quite some time. Your biggest issue will be if your hardware pulls more than the unit can provide, SLI/xFire. At this rate, power consumption will drop with the release of new hardware, I can assume you'll be fine.
