PSU good enough?

Hi, my mate has just bought an BFG 8800GTS (512mb), E6850, 2gb ram corsair RAM, 2hdds(500gb sata + 80gb ide), GA P35C-DS3R mobo.

good enough to power the pc above?

It might be, but I wouldn't risk it since the 12 V rails seem to be a bit anemic.

Damn, I thought it might just be good enough. Don't suppose taking out the 80gb hdd would make any difference?

nah that 400w would be underpower the system, look at the corsair 520w

Does the Cooler Master eXtreme Power 500W PSU have sufficient 12V rails? (He's buying one today locally and we don't have much choice). Please someone answer, or just tell me what to look for in a PSU ready for an 8800?
