PSU got enough Grunt?

Hi,

The time has come to upgrade to a new GPU. Though before I wanted to check if my current PSU is packing enough beef to power a ATI 4870x2. Also I was wondering if I need to upgrade my CPU to a quad? My current PSU and CPU are listed below.

PSU: Hiper 730 Watt Type M ATX v2.2
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.67mhz 1066 FSB

I have an OCd Q6600 and 2 8800GTXs on a 720W - so you should be fine


Although there are a few tales of Hipers going pop (although im on my second RMAd Enermax, so )

Ah thanks for the quick reply. Yeah I have heard many reports of the Hipers going pop too. Thing is I want to upgrade my PSU, as always though cash will not permit at the mo. Maybe next month. Was looking at getting the Enermax Galaxy. So as long as it will do until next month then I'm happy. Thing is space I have the TT Kandalf. My current sys is an Insurance claim and I have been saving to upgrade certain parts of it for a while now. Most of the sys has been bob on, only gripe was the PSU.
