So after a long time of service my PSU has finally given up the ghost, thankfully not taking anything with it. I have around £500 to replace and upgrade parts as I have that itch.
Could someone spec me a good PSU preferably modular to run my 8120 CPU and 7850 GPU?
I want to replace my 8120 and Gigabyte 970 board, the question I have is would it be worth me sticking with AMD, replacing the 8120 with an 8320 and getting a 990FX motherboard and waiting for Steamroller to see if its competitive with Intel, or should I jump ship to Intel?
I game and do a reasonable amount of virtualisation on my desktop at the mo so I will need to get parts that would allow this to continue, I would also need the bits to last as long as possible. I do not really overclock so that isn't needed.
