So my be quiet! Dark power pro 850w from circa 2008 has finally died, no lights on the motherboard, doesn't power on an old mother board and nothing jumping the pins on the 24 pin connector, fuse in the plug is still good.

Motherboard is a b850 livemixer: with one 4 pin and one 6 pin power connectors

Gfx card Is currently an amd Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 7900 XT Vapor-X: with three 8 pin pcie connectors.

Cpu 9800x3d with a an AIO cooler.

I'm really out of date with the psu specs and card conectors etc I just want something that's going to work currently and realistically work for as many future upgrades as possible I think next gfx card will likley be nvidia honestly i kinda just keep using stuff till it dies or it no longer plays what I play at 1440p.

So if the last psu lasted around 17 years it seems sensible to spec ahead for whatever the future conectors are pikley to be like I think most motherboards are 6+6 pin not 6+4 like mine or that 1000w+ might be needed for the next nvidia cards or something?

Cheers for any help

From what I can see, both of these have enough PCI-E/CPU for your motherboard and graphics card, with the addition of the 16-pin (nvidia).

The Phanteks has an 8 year warranty and the platform reviewed decently well. A good choice to keep the cost down and not being nasty (with the cost cutting).

The Antec is derived from a Seasonic Vertex, minus 2 years of warranty (the Vertex has 12, Antec's is 10). Expensive, but a good PSU.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £346.97 (includes delivery: £7.99)

OCUK have be quiet's 13 M 1000 for £116, which is a good price. Review at hwbusters was fine, but I think you'd have to use 2x PCIE cables for your card, instead of 3 independent cables.
