psu help please

hi i was wondering if any one could shed some light on this little problem for me iv just moved my pc to a new case all i have pluged in is the motherboard and cpu fan should the fans spin on the psu ? They light up but do not spin the psu dose power the system its an antec 480 psu trueblue about 3years old i did give it a good blow through before i moved it to thanks

did you notice if it used to spin before?

Might just start to spin when the temp goes up to keep noise at a minimum.

yer im sure it used to spin.you dont think i bulls it up blow in it out and cleaning the dust off the fans then? If the psu was broke it would not power the system up would it ?

Shouldnt think a blow out of dust would effect it tbh.
and it might just be a faulty fat, but the actual psu works fine.

How old is the psu?

The psu could be still fully functioning, just the fan thats broke. If the fan fails, it does not mean the psu wont work/power up the system.

its about 4 years old it has2 fans on it a blue one in the in side and normal no light one on the outside both have stopped odd that both would stop working at the same time dont you think?
