I bought a Super Flower Auruora 700W PSU (which is a cheap but not well known make) I have recently heard that it is better to get well known makes not cheap ones, does anyone know if i will have (or if they have had) a problem?
I don't know the brand but if it isn't too rude - how much did it cost? That might give some indication of quality as does weight for a very rough approximation - the heavier a PSU is the higher quality components usually as they get bigger and better heatsink(s). Finally what are the ratings on the rails? There should be a sticker on the side of the PSU to tell you.
From that information and what C4EVA has just said I reckon it should be fine. I wouldn't call nearly £80 too cheap for a PSU anyway. You should be looking for above 25A on the 12v rail (higher is better here) so just make sure it is but having had a quick look for reviews it seems that you needn't worry too much.
I don't suppose it has multiple 12v rails? Usually labelled as something along the lines of 12v1 and 12v2? Because that seems awfully low for a modern 700w PSU, in fact my 400w from about 4 years ago offers that much.
