Hi guys/gals
Over the Christmas period I was purchased a new graphics card – Asus GeForce 650 TI. After installing the new card my computer has be randomly restarting, with the dreaded Kernel Power Event 41 ID. It seems to restart when the computers not doing much/idle – I play Project Cars and other demanding games and when doing so its perfectly fine.
My old card was a GeForce GTX 9800 GX2 which was failing and causing the system to lock up. The card was deffo faulty and had already been repaired once before.
I’m desperately hoping the problem is down to a faulty power pack. As the power pack dose make coil noises when the computer is processing. Current PSU, Corsair TX750
Question – What power pack and wattage would you recommend??
P.S the system is not overclocked.
System Spec –
MB - Gigabyte GA-EX58-EXTREAM
CPU – i7-920
PSU – Corsair TX750 (current, wanting replacement)
MEM – OCZ Gold 2GB 10600 x3
GPU – Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 TI
Thanks in Advance. Tim
