PSU high pitch noise

so my pc kept freezing and restarting and booting with no signal to the monitor

rma'd gfx, but still prob remians with new gfx

rma'd motherboard and waiting for new to arrive

anyway, have noticed that PSU makes high pitched noise when switched on. its a 400w antec

do you rekon the psu could have been causing the above problems?

a new psu is in order ? especially as your running that hardware 8800gt etc

8800gt oc states that a 425w psu is minimum req

i think i may have overloaded my 400w antec

Very possible the lack of juice would affect the components definitely.

I recommend a Corsair 520w.

im thinking of either

Antec NEO HE500GB 500W Modular PSU With 80mm Low Speed/noise Fan 18db

or

Coolermaster RealPower 520W Modular PSU - SLI Ready

which are both around £60, opinions?

more likely amps on 12v rail

My first thought would be that the fan bearing is degrading, from a purely engineering standpoint.

ive ordered Antec NEO HE500GB 500W Modular anyways

hopefully gigabyte will return my motherboard asap
