as topic really ...

i have a Tagan TG530-U15 530W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU (CA-008-TG)

- Two separate +12V rails for best performance and universal support for all ATX standards.
- Transformable mainboard connectors for PC & Server
- Two EMI-shielded power connectors for PCI Express & VGA graphic cards
- Four Serial ATA power connectors for SATA hard disks
- 120 mm fan for whisper quiet operation

in my pc atm which is running a 6850 fine with 1 molex

have i got any wiggle room to geta card better than that ?

the psu is 6 years old and still going strong :)

You could swap that 6850 for a 7850 but any higher end and I doubt it will cope, simply because of the age. I am unsure if Tagan PSU's are quality ones though?

He loves posting ;).

Tagan was a good brand. 7850 is a nice choice, you might be able to get away with a 7950 though.

What sort of budget do you have in mind? Could chuck in a new PSU if needed.

Hehe and its not posting in the dreaded GD either ;)

But since they seem to be a good brand then 7850 easily, 7950 shouldnt be much problems but because of its ages I personally wouldn't.
