Hey guys,

Building my 5820K build tonight, and powering it all up, turns out my PSU is dead. Not sure how that happened between last night and today.

Anyways: I pulled my girlfriends PSU from her system to check nothing was damaged. Seems to boot fine to the BIOS, not going ANY further until I have a better PSU.

I need a 1000W supply. Looking at the Seasonic P Series 1000w. Best PSU for the money? I hear Seasonic are the best around.

I need to order it tomorrow, so please help me out!

I own 4 Seasonic X Golds, 3 650w's and an 1050w, 3 are in servers. Every PSU still runs, including the first I purchased in 2009.

There is no coil wine, I don't hear the fans, not even sure if they run as there is never really any dust on PSU filters, they don't run hot. They are stable and it's easy to undervolt CPU, Chipset, Memory by good amounts.

The only downside is cables on the Seasonic's are a bit short for my Silverstone FT-02 cases, however that case is a long case.

There was a number of the Seasonic Platinum's that were failing, this was around 2 years ago. I presume this is fixed, however this is why I have stayed with the X Golds.
