Hi,

Im upgrading from a corsair 650w psu to a corsair tx 950w sli. Can i jsut swap the psu unit and stick with the original leads?. Would be easier as the current cabels are nicely managed in my case.

Thanks

Nick

The leads leading to the components from the PSU are non removable on both PSU's, so you will need to redo all cable runs, out of curiosity how come your upgrading.

well two reasons really. I will be upgrading with sli 580 at some point but at the moment im having issues with graphics when playing black ops in windows mode. It's fine while playing but when i shut the game down and restart the game i loose all rendering and not able to play. Have to change back to full screen. Im thinking that maybe the PSU is not man enough for the pc. Maybe im wrong but running out of ideas tbh. The pc is from Oc this 1

I now have the 580 3gig ddr in stead of the standard 580 in the machine and a ssd + h70 cooler. Maybe i should reinstall 7 and see if that helps. Rly riunning out of ideas.

Any thoughts?

That must be a OS, game/patch or driver issue.

A TX650 will be ample for that PC and a GTX580(including 3GB version)

I have a similar setup with the STD 580 gpu and with Furmark and Prime running I am pulling 500w ~ from the mains, your would pull similar.

You could try reinstalling Win 7 or try the latest drivers from Nvidia, or possibly reinstall the game.
