PSU make a difference to temps?

not really, unless your current psu runs hot because its inefficiant or a new one would shift a lot more air.

you'll get better results getting a better cpu heatsink in there.

I swapped from a 1100W Tagan to a 750W PC Power & Cooling and temps droped 2degC not much but it can help (the old PSU was VERY hot though).

Badly mounted heatsink or faulty CPU/mobo.

It shouldn't run this high even if you had scrap of copper attached to it and cooling it passively.

not sure.......my PSU is cold to the touch all the time (OCZ 600), as if it's not turned on.......but my old pile of junk was quite hot (Win)
