Guys, my PSU (Zalman 850-HP) has started to make some odd noises after a cold boot in the morning.

When moving the mouse around, you can hear odd buzzes coming from within, yet after a couple of minutes its fine.

The unit is still within warranty (expires March) and I am wondering if I should just return it? I have previously RMA'd it almost 2 years ago because of screeching noises from the capacitors and this replacement unit has been great.

Obviously my concern is that this could be the start of its decline, and if so, I would rather return it now than be left with a faulty PSU outside of warranty.

What do you think? Does it sound like its time for RMA, or do you think I would have trouble proving that it is actually faulty?

Are there any tests I could try to see if the unit is declining?

Cheers Huddy, but I have serious doubts that it is the fan. For one, the noise is only really noticable when you are actually doing something, moving the mouse quickly from one side of the screen to the other really gets it going mad.

It sounds nothing like a dodgy fan, and believe me, I've had plenty of dodgy fans over the years :p

Might just send a little email to the shop I purchased it from as they have been awesome with any RMA's I have had in the past, including a full refund for an Abit IN9-32X Max that went faulty.
