Okay all PSU's mount from the back of the PSU via 4 screws and thats it.

What if i did the opsit to that, where the cables come out i tap 4 holes so i can screw the PSU on that way.

IE: PSU would be hanging off the back of the PSU mount bracket but the front of it and cabels would be internal still, thus freeing up the top of the case more for mistry items.

I could get a new PSU mounting bracket made so the PSU can sit on that as well as being screwed to the plate so stronger and safer.

Novel idea, I think I get what you're getting at.

I agree you would need to brace it as PSU sits on a little rail as well not just the 4 screws inside the case.

Also, when drilling the 4 holes for screws careful you don't go through anything critical :P

I'll have PSU case off after PSU has sat for 2 days, 48 hours to full discharge.

Well it'll be brand new and might be done there then.

Not a problem with PSU sticking out back, i'm sadly and shockingly going with a 120.2 it seams on a RAD box at the back so will go inside nicely

Cheers lads

If this is the PSU in the PC7 you're talking about just stack motherboard standoffs and use them to offset the PSU plate. Then you can adjust how far out it goes.

I need the whole top of that case free to fit stuff there.

There will be a rad on the back so no problems there and PSU hanging out will match it well.

PSU is 180mm long,

Rad setup on the back is -

25 fan
64mm rad
35mm rad box
40mm shroud

Thats 164mm alone

It'll be all okay

the case would fall over unless theres something blocking it from falling installed from the back of the computer to the floor.

Ya mean the PC7 case not PSU?

The PC case will not tip due to the stuff thats gonna be in there.

3+ hd's, 3 pumps, mobo, ram, 2 varying large rads, optical bay, fans

Fair bit of weight.

If it does lift i got some pig **** sheeting thats heavy as dead body, i can put a 1x4'' strip at the front base to keep her down

Nesteq Nova...

Don't believe OcUK sell them though, hmmm.

No ta, rather mining looking, good idea and all that but i could make one better looking!

You might have the change something to alter to fan directions on the PSU, unless im mistaken as to your plan then the fans would either mess up the air flow or draw warmer air in?
