Reet, i need a psu to power the components listed here, let me know as i dont know much about them, theres one listed there so thats the kind of price range im gonig for but i dont wana go over that and any less the better.

Also, if you fancy improving any of it then be my guest.

Cheers all,

James.

you could go for the corsair 450w for that setup.

maybe change:

mobo to the Asus P5K
Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 to the 7200
Corsair 2GB DDR2 Value Select PC2-4200C5 to pc6400

Whilst you guys are at it, fancy doing mine too?

Motherboard - MSI X48C Platinum Intel X48
Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600
Memory - OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5
HDD - Samsung SpinPoint F1 750GB
Optical Drive - Pioneer BDC-202BK 5x BD-ROM
GFX - Asus ATI Radeon HD 3870 XT 512MB

I will probably hold off buying all this until the new ATi cards come out. So any PSU or any other recommendations?

i'd go for a p35 board if you're going with the q6600, people might disagree, but i prefer to match tech made from around the same time where possible, less likely to be issues with the setup.

So this might be better?

Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

I want the ability to have up to 8gig ram and add another GFX card in Crossfire if I want to in the future...

Enermax Modu 82+ 525W EMD525AWT Modular ATX2.3 should also be considered as it is more futureproof and meets the new atx2.3 standard.
