psu needed

check out some reviews on psu's first.
PSU energy rating should be considered if you're a heavy user (80+gold silver or bronze).
Pick a stable voltage PSU with low ripple. also worth checking out fan noise if pushed near limits.
if money is no issue, then the corsair HX or AX series are both excellent.

The Antec TP-650 is a solid PSU which has got very good reviews across the board.

I was torn between getting one as it is modular vs. the non-modular Corsair TX650, which I had already used. I am glad I got the Antec as it has made life a bit easier, as my case has no cable management whatsoever. It is well made and quiet.
My only criticism would be about the actual retail packaging. They could learn a lot about secure packaging and presentation from Corsair. I have bought DVD drives with better protection from their boxes. Antec use a couple pieces of egg box type cardboard and a polythene bag to secure it in transit. Thankfully DPD took good care of my unit as it was shipped in a bag by OCuk too.

RMA'd my second corsair tx 650, the latest lasting 6 months. Antec TP 650 w modular now on the way as well. Looking forward to it. As for packaging, I couldn't give a monkey's as long as it turns up safe and well. All the guff (nice cloth bag) that came with my corsair sat there doing nothing while the corsair gradually fell to pieces.
