PSU not fitting

Hey guys,

I have a problem with my Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply
The power cables that come out are not the right ones to power my HDD and DVD drive. I also need a 4 plug power cable to power the CPU and all I could fit in there would be 1 of 2 4 plugs who look like they are meant to be stuck in togheter.

Are there converters available and should I get them? Or do I have a wrong PSU? Or am I missing something stupid?

This is my first time building a computer a computer and any advise would be appreciated a lot!

Edit: for clarification: the slots for power in the DVD and HDD drives have the shape of a wider SATA fitting, which looks like this:

But the power cables I have look like this:

Which has it's L shape on the other side.

Thanks in advance,
Rim

The two 4 pin plugs can go together for motherboards that require 8 pin for cpu power, but can be separate for motherboards which only use 4 pin.

What drives are you using, the Corsair will have molex and SATA power connectors.

Are the dvd and hdd sata or ide models, if sata theyll use a flat power cable that has what looks like a long L shape on the back of the drive, if theyre older drives theyll need a 4 pin molex connector, also the stuck together plug will split into two parts alowing you to plug one side into the cpu power connector.

The connectors you have are correct, you may need to turn the power connector (the longer one) 180 deg to fit.

Edit: Just to confirm, the smaller slot goes to the motherboard and the longer slot is or power.

Err, well, this is a bit stupid, but it looks like the SATA pieces on the end of the cable I was trying to fit in just didn't fit in, but the middle pieces do fit...

Sorry for wasting your time guys, thanks for your help though, and helping me with the 4 plug question
