Hi. my PC specs are:
Operating System
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
CPU
AMD FX-9590 14 °C Vishera 32nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. 990FXA-UD7 (CPU 1) 38 °C
Graphics
W2252 (1680x1050@60Hz)
W2252 (1680x1050@60Hz)
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (ATI) 37 °C
Storage
238GB Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series (SSD) 30 °C
931GB SAMSUNG HD103UJ (SATA) 24 °C
1863GB Seagate ST2000DM001-1CH164 (SATA) 30 °C
Optical Drives
HP DVD Writer 1260v
PIONEER BD-ROM BDC-202 ATA Device
However if I run a graphics intensive program for video rendering, or a game such as COD Advanced Warfare, I notice a buzzing sound from my PSU. The PSU fan also runs at full tilt making the PC quite noisy, considering it's water cooled. Also I have tried upgrading the drivers to the latest Omega drivers and when then trying to play COD AW the PC can randomly reboot.....no warning, no BSOD, just black screen and reboot.
The PSU is an iCute 850W Model AP-850AS
I've thought maybe it's time it got replaced with a new one and ordered a Seasonic P Series 1000w '80 Plus Platinum'.
Does anyone agree with my theory that the iCute PSU is not good enough and will the new PSU be a good replacement?
