Just replaced a dodgy Hyper PSU with a brand new XFX 550w, see this thread: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18290596
However, having exactly the same issue with new PSU installed. When pressing power-button - case and PSU fan flash on for a millisecond before dying, repeated pressing does nothing unless system unplugged for 5 minutes. I have tried removing both HDD's, memory and sound card but they don't seem to be the problem. Fried CPU? Motherboard?
EDIT: Took graphics card out, and it boots. Onboard video not working atm, but progress. I can log in blind and get the start up sound!
