Hi, my pooter is
asus A8v deluxe,
opteron 165 @2.3ghz,
geforce 6800NU
1xgb ram
2x Dvd drives,
2x hdd,
4x case fans,

And a lowly enermax 360W psu, was wondering if this might be the problem with my pc, which seems to randomly crash, even when idle. Its stable whilst fully loaded for several hours of prime, no power saving or cool and quiet options (disabled all that in bios).

If it crashes just as often whilst just sitting there, it's unlikely to be be the PSU. More likely an overclocking timing issue.

wow 360w im supprised you could overclock with that much to begin with.

as posted above run a memory test.

but if youv got spare cash get a higher power psu.
i had a 350w when i had:

amd 3200 skt939
same graphics card
msi-k8n neo-4 mobo
1gb of some random ram.

and the low power 350w kept blowing up my maxtor hdd's it popped about 20 hdd's lol when i got a hyper type r all problems dissapeared

Put it back at stock, if problem goes, then yeah its power.

Worst thing you can do with a PC problem is to assume.
