PSU of choice

What is the PSU of choice these days

I have a Q9550, sat in a P5Q Pro Turbo, with 2x Sata HDD's, and 2 x DVD's Along with a 4850.

Seems my Hiper Type-R 480w, is not cutting the mustard these days. It is a few years old now.

So how much power do I need, and what is the PSU to get ??

Something along the lines of a 650 watt would be perfect as it leaves plenty of room for upgrade.
Corsair's TX650 is held in pretty high regard & Be Quiet!'s new range looks pretty good.

The Corsair 650w for the price but is major overkill though.

Do you require modualr.

Modular would be nice i suppose, but not essential

Corsair TX 650W is a solid choice especially with the 5 year warranty.

PC in my sig goes to ~420W from wall when running FurMark and Prime meaning about 350W load on PSU. (highest 3dMark06 gets is ~340W from wall)
