PSU ok for this set up?

just got my amd fx 6350 and getting my new 7870 delivered tomorrow.

just wondering if my xfx pro550w psu will be ok for overclocking the cpu to 4.2

Yeah it will be adequate, assuming you don't have lots of extra drives, or watercooling etc
