My mate currently has a i5 2500k build with a Gigabyte board and 8 gigs of RAM.

He has the 1gb 560ti and he is constantly complaining about 1080p gaming in newer titles, he has this PSU:

YOUR BASKET
1 x OCZ ZS Series 650W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £64.99
Total : £64.99 (includes shipping : FREE).

Will this be ok to power a 7870XT? Not sure what connectors that specific card takes.

it will be ok ...i suppose it's not the best psu in the world but there are worse psus but it will be able to power a 7870xt no problem, i have a 500w that can power one so a 650w should be fine

My friend has the 750w version, has 2x 6850's and an overclocked CPU (sorry don't remember what CPU) and he has had it running fine.

So i'm sure that will be more than enough :)

Yah, not the best but its bloody expensive enough, can't believe he payed £60 for it, can get a good XFX one for that price.

That PSU should be fine, however for a similar price you can get this which is Seasonic internals -

YOUR BASKET
1 x XFX Pro 550W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £54.98
Total : £54.98 (includes shipping : FREE).

550w will be perfectly fine as well.
EDIT - Free shipping. :p

Tried convincing him, he has seen this thread as well now and since everyone has said it should be fine, he is being stubborn and keeping his money deep in his pocket :p
