PSU opinion

It looks like a singe rail that has a max output of 105 Amps.

This should be fine......although I have not seen this brand before.

Please post a review when up and running.

Matt

Not much is known about that as the PSU review database has nothing, not even a recommended review site.

I would have honestly purchased a more reputable brand, Seasonic, XFX, Antec,Bequiet or Superflower....there are others.

Quite agree with snips86x. There is no way i would have bought a psu that has very little information and no reviews available. There are precious few reviews on Seventeam psu's available anywhere. Of the few that have been reviewed they seem nothing special and have recieved middling scores. On the bright side, 1400w is massive overkill for your rig and you could run 4x 780's off that.

As agreed it is an unknown make however as said 1400 watts is more than enough, as a typical 780sli system recommends a 750-800 watts so you have plenty of headroom.

Since you have already purchases it try it out, but in future maybe look to more established brands, especially considering the rest of your system specifications.

I've had my fingers burned ONCE buying an 'unknown' PSU. Personally I wouldn't trust one to power xmas tree lights now.

*edit*

iirc I got it from ******.
The one I had was a PowerCool 850W. Didn't even have enough juice to run my system, regulation failed and volts went sky-high.

This is what it did:

Seventeam have been around for a loooooooong time. They are an OEM PSU manufacturer.

I would say they are on par with other entry level-low mid range OEMs

Realistically that PSU should be ok, but its no way a premium unit.

Powercool is a UK only brand, which is bought and made for an UK only distributor. It is the same company that OcUK buy their OCUK branded PSU's from.

You are liable to damage your entire systems without buying a decent PSU. Without the voltage/current protection, you risk loosing your entire rig if the PSU goes POP.

Are you worried now......................?

Send it back and get one of these - I would say 850+ to be comfortable or a gold/plat 750w:

Seriously? OMG!!

Model number on mine: PC 850AUBA

I did see those PSU's with the green fan but I thought 'OCuk? NAH!!'

*edit*

Relieved to see these ones are no longer on the shop pages!!

Multiple rail +12V (6 actually) but has a switch to make them a single rail too it seems... (Single (or sextuple independent) +12V rail, providing powerful output Voltage)..

It's an el-cheapo PSU that thinks it's macho because it states 1400W.. I wouldn't let that near any of my computers, as others have said send it back and get a decent brand PSU, the PSU is the most important part of your system. You may even find when setting it up that it won't even power on the system correctly and get the dreaded spinning fans and no video signal, this is what I find with these cheap PSU's.

It does state it has PSU Protection Functions:OCP、OVP、UVP、OPP、SCP ... but who knows how well they work and if they will actually save hardware damage if anything happens. Up to you mate but I would get a better PSU with the hardware you have there to run on it.

There are 2 good deals on right now for 1000w PSU's..and both are true single rails.

Be Quiet PowerZone 1000W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply

both are at £119.99 inc VAT and give you a nice PSU for SLI and future upgrades that may require more power.

Defo looks too 'Chinese'. Even the '80 plus Gold' logo looks the wrong colour to be official.

@ Ace Modder. May be a UK only brand but the label on this powercool PSU clearly says at the bottom 'Made in China' which usually means it's generic. I've taken a pic with my mobile but it's none too clear

How do i know if i`m using the single rail or multi rail and what`s the best option?

And where can i find this switch? This red button makes the fan runs at max speed

Thanks again

Just send it back and buy something decent. You have £900+ of components in just the cpu and gpu's alone so why risk it ?

exactly as snips said above, choose one of those...
i would not want that psu anywhere near my pc, especially for SLI!
if it goes pop it could take everything else with it, people dont relise and think oh yeh il get a cheap psu but that is like the most important thing you do not skimp out on!!!!

It was not a cheap one, the problem is that we do not have too many option here in Brazil with acessible price

This site at least says that the PSU is certified and have the test, i don`t know if i trust but it seems that have all PSU brands and models that is certified, let me know
