Got a Corsair AX850 PSU. If I turn the mains on attempt to turn on the PC it doesn't fire for some minutes. If I leave it turned on at the mains there's no issue. Swapped for VX550 corsair and there no issues, except I don't trust it power current rig. Ergo thinking a capacitor failure. Can't afford to RMA just now and it's 2 1/2 years old.
Would it still be ok to use still??

The 550w would be more than enough for your rig. It has 492w on the 12v rail which is a lot more than your components will ever pull from it. RMA the AX when you can afford to although it will have to go to Holland.

I have to agree with 'pastymucher', a 550W power supply should be fine for your rig based on the spec in your sig. I'd switch to using that and RMA the AX850

Corsair's RMA process was really quick last time I RMA'd a PSU, Oh and dont include the cables as they will just send you a brand new boxed unit anyway so you get spares :)
