Hello all, I am need in a little advice from you pro's.

I have just purchased from here an Intel i5 overclocked bundle (4ghz). To go with this I have got an HIS 6850 gfx card plus other components hanging off the mobo (Gigabyte P55-USB3) which will be a Samsung 1TB HD (possibly adding a 500GB drive too) and a Blu-ray drive. My old PC has a 500 watt Enermax Liberty PSU which has served me faultlessly over the past 3 years and was wondering if it will be manly enough to cope with my current parts. Bottom line is I won't be attaching any other PSU reliant components. Thoughts? Many thanks.

Well I wouldn't trust it on the specs you stated since they are some good components. 500w Is probably not enough either.

More than enough. The 6850 is a comparitevely low power card. Might cause problems if you go crossfire in the future but I reckon it's fine for now.

Thank you all for your replies. At the time it was top notch and far from cheap but I would bow to popular advice and I think I will use it. I have no desire to go crossfire so will stay with what I have got. Many thanks.

People are all too willing to over spec parts on this forum.
you have a good branded PSU that has easily enough power delivery. Don't worry.

If it was a random brand 500w then his comment would be fine.... but Enermax are one of the top PSU brands so his old 500w is still high quality and will be powerful enough. :)

Sorry I'm abit new to this and was just using the knowledge I thought would be right. I also never heard of enermax.

Enermax make good PSU, in saying that my Liberty blew up couple years ago. Could not fault there turn-around.

Tan glue of death syndrome :D.. happened on many apparently.. Not had any libertys blow on me yet.

Yes I'm serious Stulid. Kind of because I only got into the hardware stuff in August when I joined this forum.

Then i suggest you learn a little more before giving out advice. Real people spend real money and someone might think you actually knew what you were talking about and spent more dough on a needless purchase. I'm not dressing you down or anything, think of it as constructive criticism.
