UPDATE

I have an Antec TP750 purchased from OcUk September 2010.

It hasn't skipped a beat until now... I think.

I had a whole system lock up this afternoon while play FM and listening to itunes. Power and reset buttons were completely unresponsive.

It now powers on for 2.5 seconds or so and just keeps looping on and off. I have done a recent complete rebuild but has worked beautifully since the weekend.

I think it is the PSU. I tried booting without RAM. Without the 6970. Reset CMOS. No changes made to the power on/off cycle.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys RMA note sent to Antec.

Do you reckon a Bequiet 530 psu would be capable of running my system in the meantime. I have one at my mum's which I could get sent in the mean time.

I installed the Bequiet 530 and for an evening or so it was fine. The next day same problem. Unlucky with PSU? Anywho I bought a Corsair HX650. After 30 mins of FM it hard locks- same problem.

Any thoughts?

I am starting to think it's the motherboard. I haven't sorted any RMA out yet either. I did have a major leak when testing some fluid about a month and a half ago. Could it be left over residue from the Aurora?

It seems odd that it would be fine then stop after a period of time

Thanks for the reply sr4470

I'm wondering if I should purchase a new motherboard but, I only bought an OEM version of W7: would I be able to use the developers version of W8 without too many issues or would a new most probably retail version of W7 be neccessary?

You're replacing a faulty board so I don't see any issue with using the OEM Windows 7.
