Hey,

I have a Corsair 450W PSU, I think I may need to upgrade it as I dont think it can handle my current spec:

Intel Pentium D945
Abit QuadGT
OCZ 2GB PC2-6400
8800GTX
2x 250GB Seagate SATA HD's
1x 80GB Seagate SATA
1x 40GB Seagate IDE
Asus Xonar DX 7.1
5x 120mm Fans

The reason I think I may need to upgrade is because, after I put my new HD's in (2x 250GB) my PC started to crash during games, like RSV, and Bioshock, maybe because there isn't enough power?

Rather than buying a new PSU, would it make any difference if I lost the 80GB HD, to save some power?

Well if the problem only started after you made a change then it's obvious that's the cause.

It could be that the drive is faulty so make sure that is working before you buy another PSU.. Disconnect all other non-essential drives, then attach the new one. If that works then you need a more powerfull PSU..

Give this a read..
