PSU Problem

I bought a Silverstone ST1200-G psu, but have been able to get it to work with my pc.

It spins up for half a second then turns off. Now i would assume that something is shorting it out, but the thing is..... if i connect my Corsair psu up it works no problem

I returned the psu and it was tested to be working fine.

Is there anything else that could cause this? Could it still be a short?

But can i demand a placement even if they have tested it and found it to be working?

Well... £200 for a psu that doesn't work with my pc and now the people I got it from are telling me i have to pay £40 worth of charges to get it back
