I've got a 650W Dark Power Pro in my i5 system (specs bellow) and for 2 months it was running fine, however it then developed an intermittent fault.

Power on using the case power button the graphics card lights up a power supply error LED and the motherboard doesn't begin to post. This will continue no matter how many times I use the case switch to turn it on or off until I turn the main PSU switch on the back off or unplug the mains cable for 15-20min.

This happened once or twice, and then disappeared for a week or two however it is now happening every time I fully power my system down. I've swapped and disconnected all but the motherboard/CPU and PSU itself as i don't have a suitable replacement PSU.

The fact it came on after operating fine for several months and has been gradually getting worse leads me to be fairly certain it's the PSU, anyone have an ideas before I RMA it?

PSU is likely protecting it self with an cut off, most likey an fault with the PSU, still could be an item with in your pc

i would stop messing with the PSU and replace it just in case as you not want it blowing on you

At least bad 5V standby rail would surely cause booting problems.
(and caps of BeQuiets are cheaper ones)
