PSU qestion

ok i have a pc about 4 or 5 years old running XP the power supply died on it so i picked a cheap one up from the web, anyhow i go to fit it and it has a 24pin mobo connector and mine appears to have a 20 pin one, i was not aware that they had changed, can someone enlighten me? are they all 24 pin now?

Majority of current motherboards use 24 pin, usualy the extra 4 pins unclip or overlap the 20 pin ATX power connector.

so would the 24 pin one fit my 20 mobo?

the one i ordered was Sumvision 400W 20+4pin 80mm Fan PSU - With 1x SATA, ATX12V

which i presume means 24

It should fit, have a look at the ATX connector see if it unclips if not try inserting the ATX connector and the last 4 should over hang.
