PSU question. From an anoying noob

Ive bought a 500 watts psu. It came with an european cord, my question is if i bought a uk cord would it work in my UK pc. The volts and amps on my old cable are exactly the same as my new cable, witch uses the same in fact.

The only question here is will the EU psu burn up my computer.

what model PSU is it?

most modern PSUs can take both 110V and 230V input without the user doing anything, others have a switch on the back that you have to set to the correct input voltage
if you are scared, you could try the paperclip trick and connect up a case fan only to test the PSU will take 230V without dying

It'll start up on 240V sure. It might not run well. Where did you buy it? Quite a lot of europe is on 230V

i bought it from here, so i assumed it would be uk.

It came with an eu cored, and i'm pretty sure it runs at 240 volts.

Also the electrical specifaction is
100vac-240vac, 50hz to 60hz I asume that means it can be used :S
