Well I've changed my config a bit and have managed to save enough for an 8800GT 512 mb (only just enough), and just wanted to make sure the psu is good enough.

It's an Akasa powerplus 550W (630W peak) and it has 55 amps spread across 4 12 V lines, it's sli verified and has 2 native pci-e plugs. I've had it for about 18 months now it's been rock solid for now.

So will the psu be good enough for my specs when I buy 2 extra gigs of ram and an 8800GT and an extra hdd ( getting the ram & hdd for xmas)?

The spec's it'll have to power:

C2D E6400 @ 3.2ghz, perhaps oc-ed more in the future: not at it's limit yet.
Asus P5B deluxe.
Asus Geforce 8800GT 512mb ( sorry, but they are a lot cheaper here in some dutch retailers than anything ocuk has, hence I'm getting it above the (imo) overpriced bfg/evga/ocuk ones).
4x1 GB Geil ULL pc6400
2 IDE 7200 rpm hdd's, 4 Sata 7200 rpm hdd's, 2 sata DVD burners
Audigy SE
Pci IDE Siliconimage card
6 Usb stuff
5x 80mm fans

Do ya guys recon the power can still supply enough power for all above ?
And perhaps a bit of extra juice to OC the 8800GT, I really don't know how much power the 8800GT needs.

EDIT: it's voltage table :

OKAY thx :D.

Can't wait to go up 2 gens of gfx cards, 6800 to 8800, great change I think.
Feels like I have kept this card for ever.

Feeling glad I've bought a way too powerfull psu 18 months ago when I didn't really need one like this back then. just had a p4 @ 3.9 ghz and an 6600GT then lol. Also just 3 hdd's back then, now I'll have 6 soon :). No need to spend €€€ now on another psu ( bought this psu for 140 € iirc ages ago ) :D.

Lol, well reviews of the site ocuk has trouble with said it performed as it said and that it had rock solid lines.
Renmber tho this is a psu originally designed for servers, it's made for a 24/7 550w output while being capable of doing 630W for periods of time @ 50 C ( unlike brands like coolermaster, wich sell their psu's rated @ 500W because they have a peak of 500 W @ 20C.)
Other review sites wich had a less advanced review still were praising the psu saying it provided stable lines.

It has masses of conenctors, including native 8 pin power (splitable into 2x4pin) and additional spare 4 pin p4 plug, it has 9 molex, 4 sata, 2 pcie 6 pins, 24 pin ( splitable into 20 + 4) and 2 floppy's I believe. Been quite happy with the psu just shame it wasn't modular.

Never mind the psu anyhow, I've ordered my Asus 8800GT 512mb, due to arrive within 5 working days :D, can't wait haven't been exited in ages like this, I'll be jumping 2 years to the future in terms of game gfx :D.
