Hi

So I bought the following PSU back in February, having been low on money at the time, and also not knowing much about PSU's (stuff about 12V rail etc).

The questions is, do I need to upgrade it, and urgently? As someone in another thread said that it only has 18A on the 12V rail therefore it should only be classed as a 250W PSU.

I haven't had any problems with it though so far considering I've owned it since February, and check my signature for my system setup. Should I have experienced problems by now with this PSU?

Thanks for your help.

If its working fine itll be fine. If your going to end up upgrading to new gcards and what not or new cpu bla bla, ull have to fork out some dough. Keep us posted.

If you are going for mid to high end graphics cards then you will need to replace but if its running what you have at the mo then should be ok but you do read on hear about cheap psu blowing and taking out other components.

-5V? 18A!
What's this? Some Triassic period?
They must be digging up those from old sediments!

Should I be worried about this then? Do I need to upgrade the PSU immediately or can I just upgrade it in a few months time (as I don't have much money atm). Do you think the setup I have is running ok off this PSU, especially when gaming etc?

If it still works then don't bother changing it, unless your pc is starting to crash or freeze a lot. Definately change it when your goin to upgrade though. Why would you buy non well knowned brand psu

Change it. You have had a good run, but that's an awful PSU, sooner or later it's going to bang and may well take components with it.

Plenty of cheapish options for your system.
