Hey hey

I have a PSU capability question.

Will (or should?) my current PSU OCZ 600w StealthXtreme run the following setup.

i7 920 (Slightly overclocked to maybe 3.0Ghz)
Gigabyte X58-DS4
6Gb DDR3 RAM
2 x Samsung 320Gb
1 x Samsung 1Tb
DVD-RW
4870 1Gb
X-Fi Soundcard
and 9 (inc CPU and extra GFX) fans in my Antec 1200

It copes fine with my current P4 system (obviously!) and just wondered if you guys think an upgrade will be needed. According to http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine (I assume this link is OK) it only needs 446w. Not sure how much this can be trusted due to actually energy figures, but I am 150w over.

I bow down to your expert knowledge.

Like game loads or Folding at 100%?

All I really use it for is games and a bit of Photo editing. My buddy at work as said I can have his 750w for cheap but stretching to the above so another £80 is pushing it even more? I appreciate your thoughts.

I'd say a bit low, I used a 620 OK but with 3GB less RAM. You start overclocking that (and why wouldn't you?) you'll draw much more power than stock. When you get to threshold values like this it's a difficult call - might be OK or might get issues. You want to be certain then shove an 700w-850w in.
