Thinking of upgrading the rig in my sig for an i7 950, Gigabyte A58A UD5 mobo, 8Gb of Corsair Dominator RAM, 2 x 2Tb WD black HDDs, SATA DVD-writer. I'll also be keeping the current 2 x 1.5Tb Seagate HDDs.

Will my Corsair HX520 PSU be man enough for the update or will I need to think about getting something with a bit more oomph? Needless to say I will be doing some overclocking.

Also if the HX520 can be used for the new rig I wanted to use an old Enermax 450w PSU for replace the HX520 in the rig in my sig, will the Enermax be enough to keep the Q6600 running at 3.2?

X58 chipset uses tripple channel ram so you will have to use either 6 gig or 12 gig not 8 gig.

As long as your not using a high end gaming card your 520 should be enough and the 450 should also be enough as your removing the 2*1.5tb drives.

Sorry, knew I'd miss something out, thinking of replacing the vid card with an EVGA GTX460 superclocked.

I know about the triple channel thingy but reading Gigabytes site it states the mobo supports both dual and triple so will run it with 8gb for the time being before deciding on whether to get another 4gb.

Will be fine. the 460 isnt that power hungry. Depending on how many case mods (fans, lights, controllers) then it could be pushing a little bit but it should be fine.
