PSU Question

Hi all,

I would like to know whether the Corsair Professional Series AX1200 High Performance 1200W Modular '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply is good. IF anyone owns it.

At that price and from corsair, i'd expect it to be pretty good.

The Corsair unit is a very capable unit, however there have been occasions where when the unit still has power but isn't providing power to the pc, it makes a noise like crickets, which can be quite annoying if the computer is kept in a quiet room for example. Another alternative is the OCZ ZX1250 PSU which is just as capable as the Corsair AX1200.

I reviewed the HX1050 which was a very capable unit, however for a 1200W unit I would choose the Antec HCP-1200 over it any day- I've just finished reviewing it and it is the best unit I have ever had the privilege to test! The ripple was almost non existent!

If you want to save yourself a few quid I still have it so send me a message in trust if you are interested in buying it!
