My pc is on the verge of a mental breakdown (well I am putting up with it)
lock ups galore has now worn me down to such an extent that I have started buying bits to upgrade it

I have a 2 year old Corsair 400w PSU that has never been used and still has some warranty left on it
I bought it for a different build that never happened so its been sat here in the box for 2 years
in view of my current PC behaving like a complete 'dog' would I be better using the Corsair in my upcoming upgrade than my current 450wt PSU

my thinking is that yes its less power but its had no work whereas my current PSU has been at for 3 years now and might be part of my current problems

my new setup will be as follows

8gb samsung green
Gigabyte Z77 M3 sniper mobo (using on board graphics)
60gb OCZ vertex 2 boot drive
2 2xtb storage drives (both can be put in USB external cases and used when needed)
Intel I5 3570k Ivybridge mildly oveclocked and left alone once set at around 4ghz (ish) LOL
win 7 64bt ultimate
Blu Ray writer rom

as you see very little extras going into the upgrade so will the unused 400wt Corsair run this setup - must add I dont play games of any kind just use photoshop a lot
thanks
