Planning on picking up a 3070Ti/3080 in the near future and have plumbed numbers into a few calculators with differing effect.
Currently have a Super Flower Leadex III 550W 80 PLUS Gold Modular PSU. Would I be ok running this without damaging the GPU or other components?
If I upgrade, I don't expect to sell the PSU so not as worried about that.
My build is from 2019 so its a Ryzen 5 3600, ATX B450 Tomahawk Max, 16GB DDR4, 2x SSDs, 1x HDD, 3x 140mm fans, cpu heat sink and currently a 1660 Super.
Pcbuilds is giving 485, Coolmaster is giving 505, Outervision 500 but recommends 545, and Newegg said 700 for some reason.
Would I be right in assuming the worst I'll run into is some random restarts during gaming if the load got too heavy? Had assumed I would need a new PSU but not sure its worth buying one based on the above.

These "modern" graphics cards, especially Nvidias, suck very high power transients.
In case of 3080 those spikes are 500W.
So 750W PSU wouldn't be any too big for it.

I was running my I9 9900k and 3080 on a 650w PSU (Corsair RM650x) perfectly fine before I switched to my current sfx build where I updated it to a 750w
550w maybe pushing it though
