im mid way in choosing the parts, but im really not sure what power supply i should go with watts wise.

ive tried a few power supply calculators and ive come up with everything from 300-650W. can anyone reccomend me an accurate power supply calculator, or give me a rough idea of what im gonna want for this rig:

- AMD Phenom II X4 965 (with standard processor cooler)
- ATI Radeon HD 5770 (or better if i can afford it)
- Asus M4A88T-M AMD 880G
- OCZ Special OPS 4GB RAM
- cheap ~1/2TB HDD
- internal capture card
- cheap DVD drive
- probably something else ive completely forgotten about

if anyone could give me a rough idea of how much power this will need, or point me to somewhere that will accurately work it out for me, that would be great.

ps, really dumb question, but will the fans that come as standard with the PSU and processor be enough, or will i want another fan?

It's made by someone else and Overclockers just put their name on it. It has far less connectors and it's lower build quality (and shorter warranty).

wow, thanks for the ninja quick reply. im guessing just over 500W is the area im after, going by that reccomendation.

i know power supplies are an area you really dont want to cut the budget on, but can anyone tell me why this one is about half the price, made by overclockers themselves: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-026-OP&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=

It's half the price because it's a pile of crap. Do not even think about buying that for your rig!! Buy a quality branded psu or you will regret it.

The OcUK PSUs are fine for basic computers but a power hungry quad and graphics card need a quality supply. I'd argue OcUK shouldn't put their name to these unbranded supplies, but I bet they sell tons of them at those prices.
