Hi, im looking to upgrade my graphics card sometime soon, either with GTS 340 or 640, or the 2900XT, depending on the money i have spare. But i would need a new PSU as my current one is only 460W. I've heard good things about the Corsair ones, but i find it a bit too pricey at the £100 mark. I'd like something cheaper, so i can spend more on the graphics card. I'd like something that is stable, reliable (i.e. not gonna blow up), has modular cables (not a necessity, but preferable), and a decent 120MM fan or something similar.

Current Spec is:
Asus P5B Motherboard
E6600
4GB of Ultra Low Latency Geil RAM
X-Fi SC
WD Caviar 250GB SATA Drive
LG optical drive
7900GT Pre-Overclocked

Although im thinking, is it worth me spending more on the graphics card? As im a Uni student, i don't have lots of cash spare so i'd like to buy an 8800GTS 640, or the 2900XT so i wouldn't have to upgrade for a nearly a year. Is it worth me spending this much on a card or am i better off spending more on the PSU and getting a 8800GTS 320MB and just upgrade again in the future (like xmas time)? I play at 1280x1024 res, so i don't really need a card that handles high res. Just want to be able to play everything at max, and at a decent FPS, without having to spend a fortune on a card at the same time.

Also i've got a £300 budget atm, but i guess i could stretch it a bit to afford something more but i'd like the best performance/cost ratio.

Hope you guys can help! Thanks!

For that spec you don't need the 620. The Corsair 520 will be more than enough and it will save you £30.
